The Technical Division operates independently and consists of five areas: Street/Park/Harbor, Nyköping Water, Waste Management Municipal Properties, and Meal Services. In addition, there is a project unit, an economic unit, and an administrative staff. The division employs about 400 permanent staff and has a turnover of over 1 billion kronor. Our clients are the Municipal Executive Board, the Environmental and Community Planning Committee, and the Culture and Recreation Committee.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Waste Management department is looking for engaged and skilled waste management workers for the summer season 2026 at the Björshult Waste Facility - Material Handling or at our Mobile Recycling Center. As a seasonal substitute, you will replace regular staff during their vacation. The tasks as a seasonal employee may vary but mainly consist of customer service to assist visitors with waste sorting by answering questions, providing information, and ensuring that sorting is done correctly. Participate in keeping the recycling center clean and pleasant. Sorting and loading containers with a wheel loader. Minor maintenance of the equipment.

Some work on weekends and outside regular working hours may occur depending on the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have:

• Driving license B
• CE or BE qualification for work at the Mobile Recycling Center
• Professional certificate and experience in operating a wheel loader for work at Waste Facility/Material Handling
• IT skills. Good social and communication skills
• Understand and master Swedish

Meritorious are:

• Education and/or experience from Recycling Centers or Waste Facilities
• ADR Training 1.3
